We know everyone loves our mushroom formulas, unfortunately inconsistent regulations across state agricultural agencies forced us to remove mushrooms from our functional treat recipes. We formulated alternatives with whole food nutrition to replace the old recipes. Below is a summary of the changes:
New name: Immune Support
We are proud of our new formulas for Skin & Coat and Immune Support (formerly called Daily Essentials). We believe our mushroom supplements, still sold in separate canisters and certified by the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC), are among the most effective supplements available in the pet market.
BIXBI products can only be found in pet specialty stores around the country. Please use our locator to find an independent pet food store near you.
The jerky market is made up of a few large companies who all source their products in China. As pet parents, James and Michael found this crazy. They would never buy any food from China for themselves or their families, so why would they buy Chinese foods for their pet? They created BIXBI because they couldn't find a decent source of jerky for their dogs!
Everything we make is sourced within the USA. There are a few reasons for this, many pet treat companies are making products in countries like China, where they have known supply chain issues (see FDA melamine recalls and FDA chicken jerky warnings) and lax labor laws, which we do not support. The other reason is that, as a company, our carbon footprint is much smaller as we do not need to ship our products from halfway across the world.
Well, if they said that and then said that their chicken is sourced in China, here are a couple articles you might find interesting: Chinese Olympic Athletes Aren't Allowed To Eat Local Meat Because It Might Get Them Banned For Doping or China Sneaks its Chicken in on Man's Best Friend.
All of our raw materials come from USDA approved human facilities and are processed in our FDA approved facility.
There are no gluten, soy, dairy, preservatives, animal by-products, or synthetic ingredients in any Organic Pet Superfood products, period. Our formulas contain all the natural goodness needed to maintain your pet’s optimal metabolic functions.
Absolutely! Organic Pet Superfood is made in the USA, 100% human-grade and uses certified organic ingredients whenever possible. We do not believe products should carry warning labels like “not for human consumption” or “keep away from children” which seem to mark other pet supplements and products. If you give more than the recommended amount to your pet, it will not harm them. Each canister contains 60 grams (2.12 oz), which is approximately a 60 day supply for a 50lb dog. For cats, this translates into approximately a 120 day supply. We recommend ¼ tsp. (.5g) for every 25 lbs. your pet weighs.
All this organic nutrition does no good if your pet won’t eat it. The good news is most dogs and cats LOVE the taste of Organic Pet Superfood. We don’t add any sugar, fillers, or any other junk into our product. Mushrooms have a naturally meaty scent that pets seem to really enjoy, they love the natural flavor and goodness. For really picky eaters we recommend pouring a touch of chicken broth into their food or just mixing the formula into their food a little more thoroughly.
We recommend doubling the normal dose of Organic Pet Superfood for seven to ten days to increase uptake into their systems. This may help speed up recovery.
Organic Pet Superfood formulas are proprietary and are the result of many years experience and professional research. We don’t want to give away our most valuable asset. Please try Organic Pet Superfood, and you’ll agree that this is the best nutritional enhancement for your pet, guaranteed.
